Fashion trends for fall 2019
Fall Fashion 2019. Believe it or not, summer is almost over. August will sweep us away faster than we can imagine and the first signs of fall will knock on our windows fairly soon. Europe is hotter than it’s ever been these days so the rainy, cold weather still seems far, far away but what’s the harm in being ready to pull out those trendy coats you’ve been hiding in your closet?
While you might not be ready to give up the sunshine, all the famous fashion houses have shared their views over this topic in the most recent shows from Paris, Milan, London, and New York.
Here are 10 of the most popular trends that have been spotted at the Fashion Shows and that you should keep an eye out for:
From masculine to extra feminine, we’ve seen all sorts of suits this year and the message is clear: Suit up, ladies! Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney are just a few who chose to present checkers suits, all in different shapes and patterns.
The good news is that pleated skirts are still in. The bad news…there are none! Pair your favorite skirt with long boots, a button-down blouse and a scarf around the neck in true 70’s fashion.
It’s clear now that we are taking neon way into the fall season, and it’s definitely not for everyone. Works well for a night out but I’m not entirely sure about those rainy days.
Let’s go back to more classic fall materials and patterns. The English tweed has been spotted in many different ways at designers like Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, and Victoria Beckham.
I have been enjoying floral dresses all summer long and this trend is only making me happier. The designers have found a way to keep the floral prints alive this upcoming season with darker backgrounds and boots instead of sandals.
Which is actually a military posture so you see where I’m going with this. Army green is back in the game so grab your combat boots and fabulously march down the streets.
Mostly ‘spotted’ in coats and bomber jackets, the beloved animal print was the statement piece in creations from Versace, Celine, Paco Rabanne and many others.
Dresses, shirts, trench coats, you name it. If it shines it’s 2019 fall fashion approved. Designers like Altuzarra, Dolce & Gabanna and Michael Kors chose shades of gold and silver to showcase this particular trend.
We’ve seen our fair share of utility-like clothing this summer – the only difference is this season we will be able to find parkas, coats, and pants to fit the trend.
Lace in different patterns and colors showed up at the Fashion Shows from designers like Givenchy, Gucci, and Saint Laurent with edgy silhouettes and maxi lengths.
